The BLOG is the place where I share the work of others that inspires me, excerpts from The AUXORO Podcast, and my writing.
The following is an excerpt from The AUXORO Podcast (Ep. 216) where James Kirchick shares what he discovered about collusion between Elizabeth Chambers (Armie Hammer’s ex-wife) and Efrosina “Effie” Angelova (main accuser), what drove him to report on the Armie Hammer cannibal/rape accusations, and the refusal of the mainstream media to pursue both sides of the story.
Last week, the pop star singing sensation Lizzo was served with a bombshell lawsuit by three of her former dancers for allegedly subjecting them to endure fat-shaming, sexually disparaging behavior, and pressuring them to participate in denigrating sex acts.
Hilarious new special from a rising formidable force in comedy, Matteo Lane. I first saw him on the Flagrant podcast and have been following Matteo ever since. Do yourself a favor a grab some laughs over your next lunch break with the special below.
Recently, millions of people have been calling for reparations for black people who are descendants of slaves and I could not be more on board. For hundreds of years, African Americans haven't enjoyed a level playing field to build wealth and move through life as fully recognized human beings and now is the time to restore the balance in the form of reparations payments. The reparations conversation is long overdue.
This morning, I performed my ritual, one of my favorite parts of the day: washing the dishes while listening to a podcast. The episode of choice today was 2 Bears 1 Cave (hosted by comedians Bert Kreisher and Tom Segura) featuring as a guest the famous porn star Adriana Chechik.
The first taste of coke numbed Adam's bottom gum like he wished he could numb his heart. The breakup spiral was setting in, but not before he could paralyze the momentum with nostril therapeutics. As he rolled up the twenty dollar bill tighter than a nun's ass crack, Adam twice flicked the sides of the cash cylinder for absolutely no reason. It was just something he'd seen in movies.
The day is January 28th, 2023, and I'm in the Whistler ski village devouring a chicken burger with a bit of Sriracha as my mind flashes to a story I hadn't thought about in almost a year: The Drake Hot Sauce Incident.
I’m in awe of Coffeezilla’s investigative journalism. His three-part series on Logan Paul’s shady Crytpozoo investment had me more captivated than a Netflix True Crime series. Production value is off the charts. Here’s part one:
As a half-jew, I fully recommend this special. Also, since Ari chose to put this special out for free consider leaving him a tip so that other comedians can produce high-quality specials without corporate gatekeepers. If we set the precedent with financial support we’ll benefit from better and better content. Info for how to tip Ari is in the top comment pinned to the YouTube special.
“A Memorandum on Mortality,” follows the neurotic Christian on his 41st birthday as he battles intrusive thoughts while distracting himself with social media and technology. He’s getting a ton of birthday posts, which is just awesome, and he’s hoping he can enjoy the day, if he can get out of his head and avoid his inner skeptic.
This gritty absurdist third person narrative explores the contemporary human condition of digital dependency, anxiety disorder, and antipathy towards aging. Woven with sobering life truths and sewn with hysterical satire, Christian undergoes a transformation that may be just what he needs to enjoy his birthday.
“Jon was the only voice that helped people decipher that madness.”
“These profiles determine the riskiness of your lifestyle, and that is something insurance companies would LOVE to get their hands on.”
I’m at the tail end of this incredible retelling by Alfred Lansing and damn, what a ride it’s been. A crew of men sailed face-first into the deadly arctic over a hundred years ago, and somehow, they made it out alive. Led by Captain Ernest Shackleton, this voyage is the definition of savagery.
“Everyone has this concept that I was out of my mind.”
“How do you know it wasn’t dog feces??”
Aziz Ansari brings it in his latest special. He made me think hard and laugh harder. Check out the full special on Netflix.
“I miss the way I felt when I had no regrets.” - G-Eazy. I’ve been a fan of G-Eazy since 2011, and this is a side of him I’ve never heard. I love it. Give this a listen and you won’t regret it.
This conversation with Tim and Ari is a top ten podcast episode of all time for me. The way that Ari casually pulls insights out of Tim is masterful, and this convo showcases a side of Tim we rarely see on The Tim Ferriss Show. The effort that Tim reserves for dissecting his guests is directed inwards as he shares invaluable insights on travel, drugs, and love.
When I sit down to eat lunch, 50% of the time I type in ‘Norm Macdonald’ into the YouTube search bar. The other 50% of the time, I type ‘Tim Dillon.’ Thanks for the laughs boys, and RIP Norm. Here’s a clip of The Tim Dillon Show from episode ‘The D’Amelio Variant.’

I spent at least 50 lunches during 2020 watching Norm Macdonald clips on YouTube. On even my most anxious days, Norm brought a sense of levity to the problems I’d blow up in my head. Here’s an excerpt from a New York Times piece on what made Norm, Norm:
This afternoon, I binged this lecture by Stephen Kinzer where he covers everything from CIA operated bordellos, the secretive existence of agent Sydney Gottlieb, CIA sanctioned LSD experiments on prisoners, US cooperation with Nazi doctors, and more. This gets wild.
I got into the Sharp Tongue Podcast after hearing Jessiema Peluso crush it on Joe Rogan. Here she sits down with conservationist Paul Rosolie for a funny, insightful, dark, and hopeful chat on all things Amazonian:
COVID has been extremely tough on millions of people, especially those suffering from diabetes. Here’s an excerpt from an article on Reuters that describes the story of Kate Herrin and how the battle against diabetes has grown out of control during the pandemic.
This morning, I understood little about the situation going on in Afghanistan. Then, I listened to this entire episode breakdown from Breaking Points with Krystal Ball & Saagar Enjeti and now I feel confident in having a conversation about Afghanistan. They do a tremendous job with going into the buildup of the Afghanistan conflict over the past 20 years, why Biden isn’t getting the credit he deserves, and how The Taliban moved so quickly.
Welcome to F**k Em’ Friday, where every Friday, I attempt to cut through the noise and record a few things that I’ve been thinking about the past week. Hopefully, these words can spark some reflection and curiosity of your own.
The following is an excerpt from The AUXORO Podcast (Ep. 218) where Robert Salas discusses the government conspiracy to hide UFO data and create campaigns of misinformation.
